Maths Clinic - An innovation in education
In an effort to make math's learning easy interesting and
enjoyable, a unique concept called Maths clinic has been devised by our
Vidyalaya under the guidance of the Principal- himself a maths teacher.
As an innovative method bright students of class XI were divided into 10 groups,posed as doctors. Each of these doctors were assisted by 2 nurses. Very weak students in mathematics of primary class(Class IV &V) were selected as patients these students of primary classes were kept under the care of class XI students who posed as doctors and nurses.
The clinic was kept open twice in a weak during zero periods and basic concepts of mathematics were taught by these students during the year. As and when the patients showed improvement they are discharged and new patients are taken as patient.This innovative practice has now been going on a regular practice in the Vidyalaya and the improvement seen in the students is really remarkable.
Feed back from parents and teachers have also been over whelming.
Vidyalaya hopes to extend this facility to weak students of middle class also in the forth coming session.
