National science day is celebrated every year to commemorate the discovery of the " RAMAN EFFECT" by Dr C.V. Raman on this very day, 81 years ago. National Science Day is celebrated every year to raise a toast to the cutting edge work done in the field of Science and technology and to create a Scientific temperament amongst the people. On 28th February 2009, our Vidyalaya celebrated Science day in the morning assembly, with great enthusiasm and fervor. Amoolya Huilgol of 8 B gave a short speech related to this day. A short quiz , a short talk on Raman Effect were also presented on this occassion , the students of class 8th visited the BARC Science centre to view the scientific exhibits and the botanical garden, and attended many other educative lectures. Mrs Anupama , one of the VMC member also graced the occassion.
